Kirkpatrick, Ann (b.1950)

Democrat Ann Kirkpatrick of Arizona served in the U.S. House of Representatives from January 3, 2009 to January 3, 2011. After losing in 2010, she ran a second time in 2012 and regained her seat. She re-entered the House of Representatives on January 3, 2013. She introduced the Tribal Law and Order Act to give federal assistance to tribes in criminal investigations. She also introduced legislation to enlarge the Casa Grande National Park. She was an unsuccessful candidate for a second term.

Kirkpatrick was a county prosecutor before serving in the Arizona House of Representatives from 2005 to 2007. She earned her BA in 1972 and her JD in 1979, both at the University of Arizona.
