Gibbs, Florence Reville (1890-1964)

Democrat Florence Gibbs of Georgia served in the U.S. House of Representatives from October 1, 1940 to January 3, 1941. Following the death of her husband, Congressman Willis Gibbs, she won the special election to fill the vacancy. She did not run for re-election.

Born in Thomson, Georgia, Florence Gibbs graduated from Brenau College.
