Doe v. Bolton (1973)

Decided with Roe v. Wade, Doe v. Bolton addressed Georgia’s abortion law. The U.S. Supreme Court invalidated the state’s requirements that abortions must be performed in accredited hospitals, that three physicians must approve a woman’s request for an abortion, and that a woman seeking an abortion in Georgia must be a resident of the state.
